2026 BC Handicap Fall League

The BC Fall Snooker League is open to all BCBSA members and begins September 26.. Entry is $150 for senior players and $75 for juniors.

This is an individual entry league. Players are not tied to a club or venue and can play their matches at any table they agree on. Results are submitted and standings tracked live through CuePal, so every player can see exactly where they stand throughout the season.

Registration is open to all members. Final group structure is confirmed once entries close.

Registration closes September 19.

How to Enter

Registration is open to all BCBSA members. Entry is $150 seniors and $75 for juniors. There are two steps and both are required to secure your spot.

  1. Register for the league in the CuePal app
  2. Pay your $150 entry fee here

If you're a junior player use this link.

BCBSA membership is required to enter. If you have not paid your annual membership for the current season, add it to your payment.

Your entry is not confirmed until both steps are complete. If you do not have CuePal yet, download it and set up your profile before registering.

Phase 1: Group Stage

Players are drawn into groups of 5. Each player plays every other player in their group twice, for a total of 8 matches across 8 weeks.

  • Matches are best of 5 frames
  • Group standings are ranked by matches won. Ties are broken by frame average, then head to head, then a blue ball shootout
  • One match per week
  • Players are responsible for scheduling their own match inside the weekly window
  • Loser pays the table fee after each match
  • One player submits the result in CuePal, the opponent confirms within 48 hours
  • Live standings are visible to all players in CuePal throughout the season
  • The top 2 players from each group advance to Phase 2
Handicap System

Every match in this league is handicapped, including the knockout stage and the final. Nobody is priced out of a result by rating alone.

Handicap is based on the CGR (CuePal Global Rating) gap between the two players. Every player's CGR is visible in the CuePal app, so you can check your own rating and your opponents' ratings at any time. The lower rated player receives a points start at the beginning of each frame.

Match Windows and Forfeits

Each week's matches appear in CuePal on a set date. You have seven days from that date to play your match and submit the result.

Players must notify the league coordinator before the end of the weekly window if they cannot complete their match that week.

The league coordinator will determine which player is responsible for the delay. The responsible player receives a forfeit loss of 3 frames to 0, recorded in CuePal by the coordinator.

Phase 2: Knockout

A single day event. Location TBD.

  • The top 2 players from each group advance.
  • Seeded by group stage standings, with group winners kept apart in the draw
  • Handicaps apply in every round, using CGR
  • Loser pays the table fee after each match
  • Early rounds: best of 5
  • Semifinals: best of 5
  • Final: best of 7
Prize Pool

Prize money is paid out to the top four finishers and scales with the size of the field.

Example payouts at 20 players:

  • 1st place: $1,300
  • 2nd place: $750
  • 3rd and 4th place: $250 each

If fewer players enter, payouts are adjusted down proportionally. The full structure is confirmed and posted once entries close.
